Personal Power

Written by admin on January 18th, 2008

How much do you notice yourself blaming others or any outside forces for your own feelings, events, or situations? Living in your own power means that you take 100% responsibility for everything in your life. If you notice it and/or it is happening to you, then you had a hand in creating it. The good news is that this is good news! If you are 100% responsible, then you don’t have to rely on someone else to fix it. You can start fixing it right away. The trick is that you have to realize that a problem can not be fixed with the same mind set that created it in the first place.

The Success Principles

Push push push

Written by admin on January 17th, 2008

How long after a big project that you have been working on do you notice how your body feels? Today I worked on a project for about 12 hours. When I completed the task and relaxed a bit I realized how my shoulders were up around my ears, my lower back was sore, and I was truly tired. So, why am I writing this instead of going to sleep? Well, this is more fun right now. Oh, and it takes a bit to wind down.

Here is a glimpse of what I am reading too.  See next post.

Notice (without judgment)

Written by admin on January 16th, 2008

This week is all about noticing. Be the observer. Allow yourself to take a step back from the situation for just a moment and view it with the eyes of an outsider. What is happening around you is a scene playing itself out. What is happening? Now be the observer of what is happening with your body. Is your body thirsty? Is your body tired? Is your mind alert? Is your body cold/hot? How relaxed are your muscles? Where are your hands? Where are your feet? No judgment. Just observe and be a neutral party in what is happening right now. Find your place of peace and remember… you are loved!

I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.

Focus on the Body

And so it begins…
The Personal Power Formula: 7 Steps to Lasting Change for your Body 8-week teleclass has begun. We are off to a great start just noticing.

Remember, the key to noticing is to find the place of the observer-the real YOU-in a place of love not judgment.

This is not a time for figuring it out. It is just a time for gathering information. Notice with love.

Family Comes First

Written by admin on January 7th, 2008

Instead of beginning the Personal Power Formula: 7 Steps to Lasting Change for your Body tonight I spent the evening with my daughter at the hospital getting a test done.  She was in pain and we didn’t know the cause. This is the kind of event that makes me even more grateful that I have my own business. I am able to be with my family when I need to be there. I missed not having my class tonight, but I feel very good about keeping my priorities straight. Thank goodness that I can say that my daughter is OK. I hope she will be even better tomorrow. I am so grateful for the life I have!

How is your year progressing?

Written by admin on January 2nd, 2008

I know, it is only the second day of the year, but what do you think of it so far? What are your plans for the year? How much have you thought of it yet?

My family and I talked yesterday about 2008 and we created a list of 53 things that we would like to do for family events/outings. We plan to choose one event a week to enjoy together.

I am looking forward to them all!

Happy New Year!

Written by admin on January 1st, 2008

Today is the first day of the rest of your life! What are you going to focus on for 2008? For me, this year begins with focusing on my body. It is a chance for me to discover and uncover the real me–physically anyway. What do I like to eat, how much do I want to weigh, what do I want to wear, how do I like to present myself? These questions and many more will be explored during my first 8-week teleclass beginning on Monday.
